In addition to being lightweight and rugged, the ARC 300 is as reliable as death and taxes, and is ready to eat any supersonic or subsonic load thrown its way. In testing the rifle, DoubleStar fed it every commercially available bullet on the market and they all ran flawlessly. The upper and lower receiver are standard DoubleStar forged 7075 T6 components with MP batch tested bolts. The fire control group are also standard forged internals. The ARC 300 was designed with a pistol length gas system, keeping the hottest part of the barrel away from the shooter’s hands so that it can be fired rapidly and accurately without becoming uncomfortable to shoot.
In designing the rifle, keeping weight to a minimum was a guiding principle. The rifle uses a 16” lightweight barrel, as well as the lightweight Samson 15” SX rail in MLOK, and finally the minimalist Mortar Plate buttstock. The Mortar Plate will also accept a ½” or 1” recoil pad offered by Ace Limited. An additional collapsible DS4 stock is included in the package in case the shooter prefers an adjustable stock over the Mortar Plate buttstock. On the other end of the rifle is DoubleStar’s new Big Timber Brake. The Big Timber Brake was designed to not only reduce muzzle rise, but to eliminate the gap between 15” handguards and 16” barrels. Using a ¾” counterbore, the brake threads over the barrel sitting just inside the 15” SX handguard to give it a seamless look while keeping the muzzle on target.
All components used in the ARC 300 are made in the USA. The lightweight and rugged ARC 300 is at home anywhere the lights of the city can’t be seen and the only sounds that can be heard are the rustling of the trees and the whisper of suppressed .300 BLK. Take it with you.
